Clash FAQs (clashfaqs.com) is a mostly static reference site offering a Clash client download index, setup guides, and troubleshooting documentation. There's no registration or account system here — browsing pages, reading docs, and downloading clients never requires a name, email, or any other personal information. This policy covers what data is involved in running the site, how we track visits, how local storage is used, and how third-party links are handled. It applies to every page on this site.
What Information We Collect
The site has no sign-up, login, comment, or email subscription features that would require submitting personal information. We don't actively collect identifying data from visitors.
Following standard practice, our server keeps access logs limited to:
- Timestamp and the requested page URL;
- Basic environment info such as browser type and operating system;
- Referring page and approximate network location.
Access logs are used only for troubleshooting and security purposes, are cleared automatically on a regular schedule, are never tied to any individual's identity, and are never used for content recommendations.
How We Track Visits
This site uses a self-hosted analytics tool that records aggregate data like page views, traffic sources, and device types. The only purpose is to see which guides and docs get read most often, so we can prioritize updates and maintenance accordingly.
Both the analytics script and the data it collects live entirely within our own hosting environment. This data is never shared with ad networks and is never used for cross-site tracking. IP addresses are anonymized before processing, reports show only aggregated numbers, there's no per-visitor behavioral profiling, and analytics data is never cross-referenced with server access logs.
Cookies and Browser Local Storage
Reading the core pages of this site doesn't rely on cookies. Browser local storage is used only to remember a handful of interface states — for example, which platform tab you last viewed on the download page, or whether a collapsible section is expanded. This information stays in your own browser and is never sent back to our server.
You can clear this data at any time using your browser's built-in data-clearing tools. Doing so won't affect future visits — all page features will keep working normally.
Third-Party Links and Downloads
The clients listed on the download page are builds published by their respective open-source projects or app stores. Some download links redirect to the official release page of the project or to an app store (such as the App Store or clashplus.io). Once you leave this site through one of these links, how that destination handles your data is governed by its own policies — we have no involvement and take no responsibility for it.
Network activity generated by the client software itself (such as fetching subscription updates or connecting to nodes) is handled by the respective project and has nothing to do with this site. We recommend reading the official documentation for each project before use.
Note
Once a client is downloaded, installing and running it is handled entirely by that software itself. We don't take part in the installation process, and we never access any configuration data inside the client.
Policy Updates and Feedback
If this policy changes, we'll update this page directly and revise the "Last updated" date at the top — no separate notification will be sent. Any significant change affecting how data is handled will be clearly flagged near the top of the page.
If you have questions about this policy or about using the site, check the FAQs in our Help Center first, or follow the steps in our setup guide to double-check your process — most questions are already answered in one of these two places.
